Yes, I got this. We are already part of ProwlerOnline and I don't see a need to start something else. A bunch of us already get together regularly on a little less formal basis than a "new club". I am all for more events but why not just post them here. |

More clubs equals more competition which translates into better prices for us all on parts and accessories. Wouldn't the world be a boring place if there was only one of everything? (O.K., there is only 1 CJ but, you get my drift) |

I think he got emails from DC but I am not sure. I haven't seen him post here but we did tell him about the POA. I also received a voicemail from him. I would prefer no new club, no bureaucracy, no president but rather spend our efforts in growing the POA and event planning and sharing our ideas. Perhaps we could just be the POA - Ontario region. That said, I know a couple different groups were planning a similar event through wine country (Toronto guys, London guys) and we were going to try and coordinate a bigger event as a precursor to a large POA Niagara event next year or the following year. Perhaps we can all coordinate together. This message has been edited by Wayne Finch on 09-25-2002 at 01:48 PM |

Glad to hear you got the document okay. I, for one, would be very interested in attending an event next year at Niagra Falls. Never been there (I know, I know) I thought that some of you up there had talked about that earlier this year. Would make a great event for June (even just for a weekend or a long weekend), so as not to conflict with the Gatlinburg event in August. With the Gatlinburg event the weekend after Dream Cruise, I doubt there will be anything planned for that, so if you leave enough time between the two, could be well attended. Oh, yeah, I forgot, Toronto is another great place. This message has been edited by CJ on 09-25-2002 at 01:06 PM |

We were toying with late May / early June next year and would cover Niagara Falls / Niagara Wine Country / Toronto and the Niagara Escarpment (some awesome cruising roads winding through rolling terrain). |

Met an individual at a car show recently. He informed me that he was organizing a car parade in support of New York City Ground zero and asked if we could get some prowlers to attend. This event is scheduled for October 27, 2002. Currently the corvette, viper and mustang clubs are involved and hopefully some prowlers. The route for this event has not been finalized but there has been talk of Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake. This event will be getting radio and newspaper coverage and we would like to have a good turn out. Any interest from our Canadian and US prowler owners? |

We will certainly try to make it to any Canadian event that is in the eastern half of the country. Try to nail down a date and post it. |

Don, Square One is about 10 minutes from the event on Hwy 10 south of the 401. The event is at the DaimlerChrysler Parts Depot on Mississauga Road about 1/4 mile south of the 401. Most of us will be there around 11 or noon. Square One - this could be a costly trip for you. |

Would love to get in on the cruise to Nigara Falls, but please don't make it the last day or first day of the month. Boss won't let me go due to month-end processing. Indiana, is not to far from Canada. |

Come off it people. His name is Dan. It's no B.S. He is just trying to set a date to have fun. What's the problem? If you don't want to meet other Prowler owner's stay home. But don't put down someone who is trying to get a fun event going. That's all it is. My Cujo's go to a guy who wants to set up a good time for people.
PS I know it's short notice but I am sure |

Heh Mr.Canuck from one canuck to another, I don't think anyone was putting the guy down I just stated what his response to my friendly e-mail reply to his invation was. As for Wayne's comments I feel the same what is the need to have a seperate club, as for us Canuck Kat owners who have had the privilege of going to various meets and meeting lots of other owners whether they be American Kat's or Canuck Kat's this group always has something on the go and each person who goes to the trouble and I can only guess how much trouble setting up one of these get togethers takes does it because they want to share this great experience of owning a Prowler with as many owners as can make it to them. They are not going out and starting a new club so people can come to their events and cruises, all they do is post there's a meet or cruise or run whatever they call it and these are the dates who wants to come plain and simple as that, and for my sake only could you please explain your comment" I'm sure everyone in the whole wide world be welcomed to this event. Not just the elite". who are these elite people in your comment are they Canucks, Americans, English, Chinese, Jewish, German just curious PK This message has been edited by PROWLER-KEITH on 09-27-2002 at 12:08 AM |

The email I received, requested that it be forwarded to all Prowler owners. Maybe the event shoud have been posted here. Elite was a bad choice of words. I just want to drive my Prowler with as many other owners a possible and have a good time. That's it. Alan |

Since I started this, guess I would state my reasons for posting, I received this e-mail and thought it of interest to POA members..So I posted it here..Do I think a new Canadian Club could take anything away from the POA..Not for a second I see the POA as the International Club and I'm a member of the Southern Ontario Chapter..If I can,and Sandra can get the time off I'd like to attend and support any group that has the same love for these cars has I do..when I was into Jaguars I belonged to the Ontario Jaguar *** ...and also the International Jaguar *** ..Both had a place to play and they supported each other..in fact When I jointed the OJA, part of the member fee went to the International Body.... But I'm a POA member first and will always be looking for new members to share in this great knowleadge case and the fun People I met here.. JMO... ------------------ |
