I took the Kat to a State run facility twice. It is located on RT 130 in South Brunswick... I found that they run them through pretty quick. I bought my Kat out of State so I had to get her inspected right away in 2000. I went on a Saturday & lucked out. Two HotRod enthusiasts took care of my baby & they even let me walk & watch right beside her instead of pushing me off into the waiting area. Did not even have the front plate on. They even took extra care & asked me where I wanted the sticker located. (position angle everything).

The last time I went I went during the week & got stuck with a couple of kids... (Listen to me... I am starting to sound like my Dad...) They took pretty good care of the Kat, had to wait in waiting area & the sticker is all crooked, mismatched & mishandled. He was ready to slap it in without cleaning all of the goo from the last one... I stopped him just in time, so I was at least able to clean it before he mashed it on anyway... I am going back to see if I could get it re-attached the way I want it... The damn sticker is so big it blocks my view... I wish they would make those things out of clear plastic.

Call NJ Inspection # is 888-656-6867 for hours of operation at any location. Each one is different. I just called the one on Rt 130 & their hours are: M-F 6:30 - 4:30 (extended hours on Tues until 7:30) & Sat 6:30 - 2:30.

If you do have window etchings, roll down your windows!!! They really gave NJSilver a hard time. Also bring along your front plate if it is not attached. Let me know if you have any questions.
