I would like to remove the emission sticker from the upper radiator support, has anyone had any luck, when using care not to damage the paint under the sticker. I know it can be painted after, put would like to afford that.

1HOTCAT, I don't know what the emission laws are in MI, but in CA that label is a vital thing to pass the emission test. One of the first recalls on my '99 Purple Prowler was a new sticker to put over the old one. The original did not have the smog stuff pictured correctly. One of the main things the emission checker is supposed to look at is the routing of the emissions to check that it has not been altered. He wouldn't be able to pass the cat if the label is missing. May not apply to MI, just wanted to warn you.

1HOTCAT, I heard the same thing from a friend of mine that had his car emission checked in Northern CA, he had removed the sticker and kept it with his registration and other valuable papers and they said it was OK to bring when he had it smogged. They were more interested in the car then the paper.
Try that, the car does looks a lot cleaner with out that stuff, I removed mine, but Mine is registered in Arizona, no emmision check needed there.
(Also used the WD40 Trick , works like a charm )
Beware, have you gotten the ALLEY CAT of approval on this technique?
