I've been looking and wanting to upgrade the stereo.. I have a few ideas that would work but wanted to get opinions. First I read the Glenns stereo adventure, which looks real good, but i wanted to try to get more bass if possible. I also wanted to shoot off two other setups.

First one: First I would replace the door speakers with 6 1/2 components speakers and add two 2-way 5 1/4 behind the seats. Then for subs, i would make two molds for 8 inch sub's where i can actually fit one under each seat pointing down. The bad part of that is this would remove the capability to adjust either seat... And then place the amp in the trunk.

second one: This would be the same except for the subwoofer. I could place one 10' sub in the trunk along with the amp. Although I'm afraid that due to space, i might have to get a less powerfull amp to fit both in the trunk...

IF any one has some different ideas or seen setups that have been pretty trick, please let me know..

You can change the doors to MB Quart, bolt in, a huge difference. I left my sub alone but the next thing obviously would be to look up some of the stereo upgrades in the site's search engine.
There are a couple of neat things guys did. The head unit is ergonomically friendly but the FM section is pretty weak. The CD player seems to be fine for the slightly above average person. (stereo wise, that is)

I installed all new speakers except the sub. A new 4 channel amp behind the passenger seat under the cd player.
Really made a huge difference and the bass is strong for the factory sub box. The sub is being pushed to the limits however. I have a wiring diagram that shows the hookup to the factory wiring. Email me if you are interested in one and I will email it to you

I built a speaker box for a 15" woofer and an amplifier to fit into the trunk on my Prowler.

I disabled the stock sub and replaced the stock speakers. Contact me if you would like dimensions for the speaker box.
