How much more would it have cost DC to make the prowler with a V-8 option or a stick or complete leather interior, etc. etc. etc.

Quite a number of people in here have added superchargers and/or nitrous, different gears, etc.

Why doesn't DC (or GM for that matter) take a que from what the general public wants and does with their product?

I suspect that if DC had offered a suprecharged version with a shaker hood and manual transmission w/ full leather interior (and charged more for it) they probably could have sold another 10K worth of them.

So why do manufacturers not listen or watch what the public does with their cars.

As far as the replacement car (crossfire) goes, if I had wanted an AUDI, I'd have bought one. Another bubble car mimicing every other brand out there.....
