I want to thank Larry Lord for putting this event together! This was such a fantastic tour! Gina and I REALLY enjoyed ourselves!

Also, a BIG THANK YOU to Ophie and Todd! That was a GREAT BBQ and I hope you collected enough to pay for it

Here is a teaser picture

Here is the link to the page with the pictures. I made these a little larger than usual to help and catch some of the detail. A couple of the pictures came out blurry because we were not able to use our flashes and I moved the camera too much

Enjoy

Although I couldn't help much in the kitchen , Todd, Ophie, and her two chefs stayed up till 4:30A.M that morning to prepare the food for the BBQ (50+ members). You guys are the best!!!

Thank you Cliff for posting the pictures. Sorry for not recognized you without the moustache from the last time I saw you. You looked a lot younger

For more pictures from the tour

Binh - thanks for posting your pictures too! I was hoping you would get one of Gina... she kept ducking out of mine

You did get a good shot of my forehead though

WOW - that BBQ was good... I think I am going to sneak over there for left-overs

OH -I have been told that facial hair makes me look more mature... For pete's sake... that is the last thing I want to be! I don't mind looking older though... I don't get carded (DOH - I guess that would matter if I drank )

"Functional Mechanical Art" That's what the collection is all about. I can't find enough adjectives to describe just how nice the Nethercutt Collection is.

I was reallly surprised by the musical instruments we saw and heard. I'd never had the chance to hear a theater pipe organ before and was amazed at how full and beautiful the sound was. I'm now looking forward to being at one of the Friday night concerts as soon as I can get a reservation.
The 1910 pullman car was another surprise for me. The interior was superbly restored to the splendor of its heyday when it was riding the rails. What an era that must have been for the lucky owners. Every one of the automobiles were first class examples of a time gone by. My personal favorite was the Delahaye in the Grand Salon. I could not believe how graceful and elegant the body lines were.

Todd, Ophie, Mom and Sis,,,,Thank you very much for all of the work and time you all spent to organize and provide us with such a great lunch. Todd, your house is a beauty! I can't wait to see it when the pool and spa get installed.

Thanks to everyone who made it to the tour!
We had all colors present and also had 5 new Prowlers in attendance.

Anyone who missed our tour missed a beautiful place. You can take Saturday tours on your own by making reservations with the Nethercutt Collection Tour Director.
The museum is open Tuesday thru Saturday 9:00 - 4:30 PM.

Many thanks to all those who showed up... It was truly great to have everyone over! Special thanks goes to Binh for helping set up the night before, and sleeping through the cooking on the couch!
