I was looking at your neon pics and was wondering where you installed the rear tube with out it being seen or hitting the mufflers. Im looking at purchasing the street glow gold series as well but i just dont see where a 30 inch tube will fit in the rear. It seems to barely fit in the front as well.

Pics would be great.

thanks JAson

I just finished installing street glow neon on my 99. I mounted a 20 inch tube on the rear just behind (inside toward the front of the car) the frame that goes under the transmisson , on top of the braces. A 30 inch tube is too long. I mounted a 15 inch tube on the front. I had to cover the top of the rear mounted tube with aluminum tape to keep it completely hidden from view from the rear of the car. I will try and post pictures tomorrow.

But they said they only sell their kit with 54 inch tubes and 30 inch tubes. Oh great.

That is is the Gold Series Kit you are describing. The 54 inch tubes will also fit. I purchased the Blue Series which comes with the two 48" and two 30' and is much cheaper. I am very happy with the way it looks. It's $149.99 at Advanced Auto Parts. I purchased the 15" and 20" tubes seperate also at ADVAP. $19.99ea for the 15" and $24.99 for the 20". With what I saved from the Blue Sreies to the Gold makes it worth it. I am going to put the 2 30" tubes on my trailer. Sorry I did not post pictures. The weather was very nasty all weekend and the room in my garage is not adeqaute to take good pictures. I will try one night this week but unfortunately I am usually home too late in the evening to get good pictures, but I will try.

SnapCase I installed the 30 inch gold series in the rear and it fits fine. You put it between the rear case and the trans cooler and attach it with heavy duty tie straps Iv'e had mine for over 2 months ans 5 thousand miles and no problems. It appears at first that it won't fit but with percerverince you can get it to work. The gold series is the way to go because if you read the stats they are brighter than the other series they offer and the warrenty is life time which they don't offer on the the other series.Good luck and the gold series will work and very easy to install.

PPCMEM, I also got a lifetime guarantee with the Blue series. I am happy with the brightness of the Blue Series. By the way I am just curious, where did you mount your side tubes?

SnapCase,

Another alternative is : the Gold Series Kit you are describing. They installed the 54 inch tubes fit along the side. They were kind enough to swap the 30" with two 15" (front and rear) and deducted the extra 30". You can always ask!

Beware I mounted them just inside of the frame rail on the passenger side it would mount next to the fuel line that runs down the side of the car and centered beween the rear and front wheels. The next job I plan for fall is to add two one each side 30 inch tubes so the neon will go rear tire to front tire. There is a gap right now between the tires on both sides that a 30 inch tube could fill.At night with this placement you can see the neon shine thru the crome wheels and it looks kick a##$$$.I had some portable neon tubes that plug into the cig lighter to see if it would look good and ordered the 2 30 inch tubes the next day.I also ran 1 20 inch tube vertical tube up the backside of the grill and its the cats meow.Icouldn't beleive the crowds reaction at Woodward Dream Cruise. It really compliments the cats to no words.

I mounted mine on the outside of the frame rails (inside of the rocker panels). I was concerned about mounting inside the frame because the instructions stated not to mount near fuel lines. It restricts the light spread some, but I am kind of an cautious person.
