the wheel covers? I mean the actual wheel well covers on the front wheels so just the wheel stands out. Someone asked me if it could be done and said it would look really cool and personalized. I hadn't thought of it until now. The other thing he said was what if a chunk of wood or something flew into that part and got lodged between the wheel and the cover. That could actually be nasty. I doubt it would happen and I like them on but just curious if anyone else has done something like that.

The one draw back to this idea is if you drive your Kat very much, pretty soon the paint on the sides is going to have allot of chips. Just a thought for consideration. The wedge shape of the Prowler make it more vunerable to this than even the classic style HiBoy Street Rod.

You drive in Michigan............you don't want to be without the fenders!

Actually, I think the fenders give it character, otherwise, it looks just like all those other old hot rods!

If you ever drove a fenderless car you wouldn't ask the question. Hit a little water (or worse) and you would know what I'm talking about.

Wow, it looks really good like that. I think it still looks great with them on as well. And I agree about the chips and and dirt. But it looks cool. I may try it for a week or so to see how I like it. Thanks for the pics.

amcmahon,

I had my front fendor off a few weeks ago because it was getting repaired and I had to drive a mile on open roads. Needless to say I drove extra slow because of the road stones would kick up.

It would look cool to drive w/o the front vendors... but the rest of the car would look like crap because of all the rock chips on the sides and hood.

Here is what my car looked like w/o a front fendor:
