Where is the BCM and the wires that go to it? Actually lets start off with what is the BCM? They say its behind the driver side dash. What im trying to do is install an alarm. I have to tie in the wires to the factory setup. I guess the biggest thing is I cant find the door lock and unlock wires. They say find a pink/ violet wire (lock) and a orange/violet wire (unlock) I think i found the right pink/ violet wire. It is in the bundle of wires coming down from the ignition colum. There is also a pink/ violet wire in the blue connector. I guess this could be the right one. So please help me locate the pink/violet wire and the orange/violet wire that operate teh door locks. Thanks JAson |

Jason... the Body Computer is located behind the plastic "kick" panel on the left side... directly behind the data link plug attached to the bottom edge of the dash and to the left of the brake pedal and is attached directly to the body by 4 nuts. The Orange/Violet wire is the "Door Switch LOCK" sense wire located @ the actual door switch, both diver & passenger doors and also @ the BCM, terminal #41 in connector C2. The Pink/Violet wire is the "Door Switch UNLOCK" sense wire located @ the actual door switch, both diver & passenger doors and also @ the BCM, terminal #75 in connector C2. The above switches apply +12VDC to either the Pink/Violet or Orange/Violet wires to lock/unlock the doors. A parallel connection here will ONLY lock/unlock the front doors... it will not perform the "unique" OEM Keyless Entry functions of unlocking the drivers door first, flashing the parking lights, "chirping" the horn or the "panic" functions. Along with this, there are 3 relays to perform the locking and unlocking functions... located in a relay "bank" behind the glove box. Above all, BE CAREFUL... as the BCM can be unforgiving (smoke)if you make a wrong connection. Also, within the BCM and relay "bank" there are connections for the deck lid unlocking. HAVE FUN!!! Best wishes, Jay |
