Hey guys,

The innocent Prowler owner beats an expedition speed ticket in court that I received two months ago. Looks like they didn't know what they were up against, a determined, outraged prowler owner - if you mess with the Bull, you get the Horns.

Please tell email me on how you did it... I am trying to get out of a $398.00 alleged "speeding" ticket.

Which reminds me... Anybody have any suggestions for a great radar detector???

Dan - you can't leave us hangin' like that... give us the scoop dude!

WildBill - we did a group purchase on the Passport 8500 not long ago. It works good but I don't use it in my kat because it is too obvious - I use it in my Durango

That's great you got off.

I have a court date in MA on 7/19 for a speeding ticket. In MA apparently the cop does NOT have to show up, they have one cop that shows up and he represents all the cops.

Good news is the ticket says I got pulled over doing 81.9 mph in a 65 mph zone and the court papers mailed to me says I was doing 85 mph in a 65 zone. The discrepancy in paper work means I get off, right? advise?

Cliff, I got a ticket leaving a car show two month ago for smoking my back tires which I did not do, the cop wrote me up for the wrong vehicle code which was for racing, not burning rubber. I had a good case against him I had photos, car specs wrong vc.codes etc. and my faithful whiteness Todd and Offi, the cop did not show which they always do, ( I win ).I talk to an attorney friend he told me if they are not 100% sure they can win the prosecutor will advise the cop not to show, I also filed a motion of discovery which he has to produce 10 certificates if he doesn't have all ten I win win win.

SPEEDING ...Well the way I see it is if it was illegal the police and fire people could not do it .......they can't bust the "LAW " to help or catch you........now this, unsafe or imprudent operation of a motor vihechel.....if the suggested speed of a road is 55 MPH and its ice or snow , 40 could be an unsafe speed or maybe in a well maintained car ,lite traffic clear weather ....jack it up to 75 or 80 ......just watch out for the blue hair doing 40 ,she is the one operating at a unsafe speed........55 is the suggested safe speed .......well now bene there done that now it time to go to see the judge...the first thing you want to do is to make him earn the money he wants for his local kitty ,most people just give him what he asks for so they can get on their way ...demand a jury trial ....make em bring in a dozen of of his finest citizens...then you can ask them questions.....like do you drive a ford ? ...'YES"...then tell the judge you don't want that guy ( probably his brother in law if you are in a small town ) because he would be unimpressed with your MoPaR...or what ever you just dont like the way he looks.... ....its fun but very imitating and time consuming to go argue in court on a speeding ticket ,the judge, jury, prosecutor and the rest of their staff.....make them work for your money....in a small town you probably have a 20-40% chance in a big city you may not ever get a trial date...if you do when you get there it will be dismissed because they need the jury for real criminals ......they are not going to put you in jail or give you a criminal record and the fines and court cost have caps......so make a game out of it ,have fun and play to WIN.....as best as I can recall I'm 3up and 4 down in the past ten years...............
