One day a few weeks ago while cruisin' in the cat on a beautiful day, I spot a black Vette (new body style, not sure what year) coming at me from the other direction. When he gets beside me, he revs it big time, must have pushed the clutch and floored it... I'm thinking "yeah, yeah, what ever...". Today I'm stopped at a gas station with my back to the main road. I hear this deep, quick, throaty rev "Va-ROOOM", which surprises me because it's still close to rush hour on a busy road. I turn to see the tail lights of what I believe was the same black Vette! Not sure what to think about this! Mike ------------------ This message has been edited by jmcant1 on 05-23-2002 at 06:01 PM |

Not necessarily a local arch nemesis... But on a few occasions I've had people pull up beside me and rev the engine or squeel the tires (pretending not to notice the Prowler). I think it's just a sign of P-envy (P stands for Prowler). -- Tarzan ------------------ |

I seem to attract a lot of old pickup trucks that feel the need to squeal the tires as they make a turn, for my benefit. It cracks me up since most of them are rusted junkers. ------------------ |

From a big former Vette owner, I had C4s and a C5. Sure the Corvette is a beast when it comes to power, but the Prowler has the look!!! The older Corvettes had the style, but not anymore. They all know the Prowler is way cooler and that makes them envy... |
