Well I got to see what my Kat looks like just about completely naked today, the only thing left on it other than the interior and engine is the top, no body panels, fenders, ect. it looks like a kat that just came out of the water. The tub part looks like it's held on by
2- 21/2" nylon straps around the frame on each side, looks weird but now it will be easy to polish the frame while they strip the paint off all the parts now, I also found the tag that shows the frame # 003121 I would like to try and find out how close it was to the ones with the frame problems if anyone could help out there? I also looked back quite a ways to see if I could find pics of just the tub bodys after they we're painted without anything on them rear fenders ect couldn't find them either, we're they painted with the rear fenders, rear splash pan and running boards already mounted??

CJ the lady I've been talking to at the Arbitration board has been very helpful so far better than the district rep who is now making me bring the dam thing to one of the dealerships because he won't look at it at the paint shop now, and the shop is only 10 minutes at the most from the dealership, so now I have to load it onto a car trailer and put all the parts in 2 pickups or maybe 3 and take it to him to look at what a pain. I have one the top paint reps coming in from Alberta and 2 others from BC to be there when he looks at the paint problems, so I hope they get the problems pointed out to him ok... If all goes well I will still be able to make it to Colorado got my fingers crossed big time..

One last question for any dealers down in the US reading this post "can you sell extended warranties to a Canadian for his Prowler??? Thks to anyone who can help me with any of these questions.

Those straps are actually KEVLAR if I remember correctly from the tech session (saME THING THEY MAKE BULLET PROOF vests out of )

Al, those are cool images.

Looks likes that would be the best way to polish the frame, not that I am thinking about doing that or anything.

PROWLER-KEITH, if you get a chance, take some pictures of your's stripped. I think that would be interesting to see also.

WOW AL did you come over to the shop last night clean and polish the my car and frame it's exactly like mine looks except cleaner and shinnier. boy there are some really bad marks on my frame behind the front wheels. Thks again the pics answered my question about the painting part to they must install the rear splash pan and fenders and sills before it's painted.

Al why was this kat stripped? it looks like a 99 red ?
Bob kevlar's good will save a guy's kat from getting blown off the frame in a drive by shooting lol.
Great pics CJ, now I just need someone to give me an answer on the warranty question

Thks all of you guys for your help it is very much appreciated.

Sorry. I'm better now.
Damn... Good luck! Did you leave her in Throgsneck or on Vise Avenue over night? You still have the mags though.

I must have missed a previous post. Why is your prowler being painted? or a better question is what color are you painting it?

Al it's a long story here's the short version LOL, the paint right from the start was gross really bad orange peel, one day I got srayed by a gravel truck his tail gate popped open he was in front of me lots of rock chips, big ones so I got it repainted. I paid extra to have it all done, then went to deadwood last year it had just been painted about 1 1/2 weeks earlier. Looked great was happy 5 or 6 weeks later noticed the paint was wrinkling big time took it back we ground the paint down on a side panel to check why found the kat had 3 layers of paint on it 2nd coat was unstable so checked the rest of the car at DC's request found it had been painted 2 times before my repaint . Msx plant denied it had been painted 2 times so I finally got some coming to see they have lied at the plant they did repaint my Kat a second time and from what the experts say it wasn't prepped good enough so it never cured right, on Tuesday afternoon or Wed. morning the DC rep will see it for the first time and between him and all the paint experts my painter has arranged to be there they will tell me how it will play out as for DC paying for stripping the car and to have it repainted This has been going on for almost 10 mths now so hope this comes out in my favour like it should.

Butchee if I get some digitial pics taken of it could I e-mail them to you and get you to post them I haven't got a scanner or the smarts to figure out how to do that?
