I was waiting in a line for my turn to check in for a "Cops & Rodders" car show, which is put on by a local Police Department. It was pretty impressive and all of the money goes to the Police Death and Widows & Orphan Fund. Over 450 cars were in the show; everything from a rebuilt front engine dragster, to an old Buick Hurst with smoking side-pipes, a casket with a remote controlled corpse and all.

Of course there was a huge Corvette contingency. All with their noses in the air as soon as they saw me. While waiting in the double line to go in, a fellow entrant in a tricked out high boy caught my attention and motioned me to look over my shoulder. A couple of these judgmental Vette owners, including an owner of a pristine 61 Roadster were staring at the Kat and their mouths were literally dropped. I just sat there with a subtle smile and waited. It took them a while to notice that I saw them and they quickly regained their composure and immediately stared ahead smelling their sunvisors again. I wasn't looking to rub their faces in it; I just wanted to try to break that barrier... Will we ever get along???

The owner of the High boy got a kick out of it!

went to car show hosted by the Circle City Corvette Club, 35 ~ 40 Vette's and one prowler. Since I had my trailer I was parked on the end. A crowd around my car all day as they strolled past the vette's...LOVED IT...buddy with nice `60 vette next to me...he doesn't like to loose but I beat him at alot of car shows when we are both in sports car class....

I doubt the most Vette owners & Prowler owners will ever get along...they are TOO JEALOUS

I have owned 4 Corvettes, all roadsters 88, 93ann. 40th, 96, 2002 less than 4 months. I got tied of looking at Prowlers, way cooler than C5 Vettes... The Vette people are into horse power, I'm into style... I love the Stingrays of the 60ies, classic looks, just like the Prowler!

Topcat, I agree. The old Vettes were stylish, the newer Vettes leave a lot to be desired as far as looks go.

My two best car buds have vipers, silver 99 and blue with white stripes 96. Their cars are alot faster than mine,(the 96 runs high 11s) but when ever we cruise ,the prowler gets more looks and comments, Way more gawks per block.
