It got pretty warm today, about 86. Took the kat out for a drive and I noticed it ran bad as the temp got hotter. It shifts bad too. jerky. Anyone have any idea. Someone said gas, but last night when it was cooler it ran super.

My first thought ~~ The Gas Cap needs three clicks otherwise you can experience erratic performance. Ted ------------------ ~~SSS Muffler-Coolest Sound Ever I Am a Happy Camper!! |

Linda, the general rule is a horsepower loss for every 10 deg rise in intake air. Combine this with high humidity and low barometric pressure, and you could see a drop of 15HP or more compared to a cool, high pressure day. Here's the highbrow explaination: http://www.webtripper.com/automotive/tech/ Now you know why your car ran better in the cool night air ------------------ |

Sassy, If it shifted bad it might be your input tranny sensor. When those things get very HOT or marginal.. The tranny begins to shift at all the wrong times. If things get real bad, the TCM will go into safe mode placing you in second gear. Go to your dealership and buy some extra input sensors for safe keeping. They are under %50 bucks I believe. Here is a picture of what it looks like .... ------------------ |

Sassy, I will take a picture of where the input sensor is at. It is to the left of your tranny cooler. Look straight into your tranny sensor from behind and the input sensor is the left of the tranny cooler. I will post the pic tomorrow. Later... |

So...can you just screw these in and out without loss of fluid or is the removal process more detailed? ------------------ |
