Sorry to hear about your tranny, Al. Like you said - good that it is covered. I have 23,000 miles and have been debating buying extended coverage. You may have helped me make up my mind! Marty ------------------ Driving my Dream |

It is because of stuff like this that I will not keep my Prowler if I do not buy the extended warranty. The parts for our cars are expensive and it can add up quickly. I have not had problems with my transmission, but if I did, I would feel much better knowing its covered. ------------------ MTD Prowler Intake System 2.2 |

I just purchased a DC Maximum Care 0.00 deduct from one of the largest Viper/Prowler dealers. Anyone who's interested can call AAron Hoffman at Roanoke Motors (800) 541-6858. He treated me right, and I feel much better now. By the way, just curious...who bought one of the two candy reds that dealership got. John, the owner said he sold it to someone in Texas who belongs to this board. Hotrod... |

Guys, help me out here. I'm buying a 2002 tomorrow. I was told there is a 7yr/100,000 mile powertrain warranty in addition to the standard 3/36. Was this warranty not offered before on the Prowlers? I am confused |

Al Sorry to hear it. My tranny went down on the way to Crazy Horse, that's another story, but it was due to the dealership leaveing it 3 quarts low after a tranny service. It's tough being without the car I know. ------------------ |

Al - hope they get it repaired quickly for you. Your experience just convinced me to get the Maximum Care 100,000 mile plan. (for me that will only be three more years). Talked with Bob Cooper at Causway and papers are already in mail to me. I just hope I don't have to use it. Call him and tell him you want commission. Marty ------------------ Driving my Dream |

Al Make sure when they put fluid in that they take it on a short drive, allow it to get into overdrive then re check fluid. They will probably then have to add 1-3 quarts. This is why mine went out. The tech filled it, put the brake on and shifted it into 1st, 2nd and third, rechecked level (it showed full) and that was it. The overdrive holds 2-3 quarts. ------------------ |
