No decision has been made as of today regarding the Blue Prowler. There has been talk of a raffle and talk of an auction with proceeds going to a charity regardless of the method.

I sent an email to a DC contact involved in this process. Here is the content of my email, pleading my case:

I heard that a decision still has not been made as to the fate of the Blue Prowler. Many people on the board, including me, believes that this last Prowler should have been placed in the Chrysler Museum. There really isn't one there that pays tribute to the car itself. The one that is there is not in very good shape, with people getting in and out of it all the time. This has been such a wonderful vehicle and there will never be another car built that will be able to compare......ever. It is a sad tribute to the car that no one cares enough to preserve the last one. At least they should take one of the last Candy Reds and put it in the Museum!!

I heard that they are considering auctioning off the car instead of a raffle. If I can make any kind of a plea, many in the Prowler group feel that if it can't be placed in the museum, it should be raffled off. This would allow all of us who already own one and anyone who ever dreamed of owning one a chance at it by buying a raffle ticket. If the car is auctioned off, it will go to someone who will most likely put it in some private collection never to be seen again. It will certainly limit the number of people who would have a chance at the car. Should not the people who has supported this vehicle over its five-year life have just as much chance of winning it as someone who has unlimited funds? We are the ones who bought all the other Prowlers, have supported DC by doing that and have the most passion for the car. We have supported the plant and its workers, supported the plant store by buying the Prowler merchandise. Our website was created and thrives because of the Prowler owners and would-be Prowler owners who share the passion and comraderie. The website has allowed us to meet each other and reach as many Prowler owners as possible, banding together as a group. We have planned and attended many events which has brought the Prowler to the attention of many people across this country. Many of us own more than one. We declare our passion and love for this car and have always been behind it 200%.

If you conduct a raffle on a national level hopefully you will be able to collect as much money, if not more as you would if you auctioned it off to a limited number of people with unlimited funds. Please, if this email can help to plead this case to anyone that would make a difference, feel free to forward it to anyone you like. If there is anything else I can do to help, please let me know.

Well, I have tried.......but heck......who listens to me anyway?

Very good letter.
Maybe we can start get THOSES memebers that support the idea to also send a copy of the same letter and sign it.
No harm in trying, its has been said that the pen is mighter than the sword, they might buy into the idea.

CJ - I sure hope somebody at DC listens. Thanks, as always for your efforts.

I would love to take the Blue - unmodified - to POA events for everyone to see.

Happy Prowling

Great letter....personally feel a raffle is the way to go so everyone has an equal chance to own this car...but I must admit I like the idea of it being at the museum for the world to see and realize there really was a time when Chrysler had imagination and initiative...it bothers me that the only Prowler there is a so called toy/foto-op...it is just there to let the kids have something to climb on while dad looks at the "real" cars..oh well, DC owns this toy so I guess it is theirs to do with as they please....probably will end up in a crate sitting on top of a building for 20-30 years next to some turbine engines...

Great letter CJ!!! I'm with you 200%. I think a nationwide raffle would raise more than any auction and would give ALL a chance to own a unique and amazing piece of history.

Spyder - If you would like to meet some POA folks, why don't you think about driving the 4 hours from St. Louis to join us in Louiville at the Churchill Downs Car Show in May?

We would enjoy meeting you!

Hi CJ

Great job and I also agree to a raffle if it allows others outside the United States to buy a ticket. I noticed in you letter your referral to a National Raffle.

"If you conduct a raffle on a nationallevel hopefully you will be able to collect as much money, if not more as you would if you auctioned it off to a limited number of people with unlimited funds"

We also have members from Europe etc. Also a limited number of tickets at a fair price would help generate interest as well.

Thanks once again

Good Job CJ

I really would not buy a second Prowler but would Love to buy a raffle ticket at a chance for the Electric Blue Cat ...is that the same thing as buying?...I don't think so
