I am still looking for my next Prowler and I am undecided on what color to go with. As it stands right now the first choice is Silver (looks cleaner longer), followed by the Dark Blue (but I am sure it is just as hard as black to keep clean), Yellow (but I already have one yellow car and the wife is looking for a new yellow Wrangler) and finally the Candy Red (I have not seen a Candy Red in person yet so I have not made a final desecion). If anyone knows where is in the Dallas/Fort Worth area please let me know. Thanks, ------------------ This message has been edited by Steve T on 02-20-2002 at 04:46 AM |

All I did was a search in yahoo classifieds and came up with 70plus Red Kats, they are out there. ------------------ |

Good luck Steve.... I think if this one is going to be driven more you might want Silver..... my 2 cents worth! Let me know what you come up with. PS I didnt know you had a Z06..... ------------------ |

Frank, I agree about the Silver. I looked at a Silver 2000 Plymouth today, 800 miles, looks very clean, not titled. No 7yr/100,000 mile warranty on the 2000's. The price is right but still want to see the Red before I make up my mind. I got the Z06 mid January, the wife thinks I am going through a midlife crisis! Steve ------------------ |

Was there supposed to be a 7yr/100,000 mile warranty on the 2001 models? I purchased mine on 12-24-2001 and the dealer made no mention of that warranty to me.. ------------------ |

I got mine in December (I do not remember the date) and I got the 7yr/100,000 mile powertrain warranty for free. I upgraded it to the Chrysler "Gold" which covers more items and is transferable. Maybe there was a few days in December when the incentives where off? Worth a call to the dealer or area rep. Steve ------------------ |

Steve - you left out Gold. Like Silver it doesn't show the dirt. But it has such a range of color depending on the lighting that it is just awesome. When the light hits it directly, the paint gives off a glow. Check one out close and personal - I think you will like it. ------------------ |

Sunbird, I have tried to fall in love with the Gold but I just can't. Besides it would clash with the Orange. The search continues. Steve ------------------ |

Steve and Frank, Thanks for the info! I didn't get a chance to contact my dealer today. I will try and do it tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be getting my warranty info in the mail soon. Just curious did anyone purchase an extended Chrysler warranty with their Prowler? My dealer didn't even offer me one, which is a good thing because I usually don't believe in them, but I may consider it on this car. Just wondering if they gave you any better deal since there is a 7yr/100,000 mile powertrain warranty. ------------------ |

Steve, I have the Chrome exchange for that ZO6 (the real ones not the copys) with the factory center cap chromed so you have the embosed logo not the sticker. Give me a call 214-698-8200 ------------------ |

I made it by Bankston Chrysler-Jeep yesterday and say my first Candy Red in person. I have to a say I was not impressed at all by this color. The photos I had seen made the color look brighter than it is in person. It seemed to have a slight brown/copper tint to me. Just not what I was expecting at all. Steve ------------------ |

Steve, I am not trying to dissaude you, but if the car was inside and you were viewing it under fluorescent lights rather than natural sunlight, the color looks much different. I got fooled by the Woddward combination in the showroom. I was amazed when I saw it outside for the first time. ------------------ |
