Hey cnote - that's my story!! - Bought on ebay, had never even seen the interior of one. Drove over 3 hours to pick it up with check in hand. I didn't need a test drive! Happy Prowling Marty ------------------ Driving my Dream |

First thing I ever bid on ebay!!! Got it with first bid. There was a red 99 in Houston being auctioned at same time and that auction closed 3 hours after the one I bid and had 29 different bids. That car had 18,500 miles on it and was about $5000 cheaper vs mine that had 1,806. Of course that was April last year and the market has really changed since then. Sure do like your car dude. It is one the bestlooking black ones I have ever seen, still don't beat a yellow though. So how much did you give for it if you don't mind? And how did you arrange paying for it? Did you bring a check or a bank draft or what? ------------------ |

In selling a prowler to the general public, I don't think that ebay is the absolute best place to sell one. I would List it in national papers ie. new york times, Miami hearald, All major LA papers. There are lots of people on here as well with a free classified section to list on. But it depends alot on what you want out of your car as well. It used to be a big deal to run one through Leake auctions but they are plentiful to get a hold of. At one time I was one of the top prowler sales, and I did ALOT of business right here (thanks Mike K) this would the first place to put a ad up , hemmings.com, ebay, the papers. Auctions right now are alittle weird, sometimes you get good buyers and sometimes buyers shy away because they are buying over the internet advertise locally as well that is really one of your best bets. ------------------ L.delk@mailcity.com |

Bought my Prowler on eBay as well. Never saw the car in person before, never even saw a Prowler in my life before just pictures. What a treat it was when it turned out better than expected! -Ben ------------------ |
