I was wondering what happens to all of the "PILOT" or test cars? I have heard that they are destroyed, but now that prowler is no longer being made would it no be wise to offer them as "PARTS " since parts for our Kats will most definitely be needed in the future....... I have a yellow 02, it is doing great, has 2500 miles on it. This is the second yellow 02 I purchased, the first one slung a rod and destroyed the engine at 422 miles. The factory rep said a nut on a connecting rod was not installed properly, at that time they also said that they were going to take this car back and use it as a pilot car. thanks |

That is correct.........the "pilot" cars are usually crushed. Because they are for "testing" they usually aren't "legal" and therefore, can't be sold. |
