I was just told that Mopar has discontinued the luggage rack that sits in the hitch, does anyone know who might have one for sale, no room to store the weekender and need a spot for the tote, appreciate any help. |

They probably discontinued the luggage rack because they had problems with them breaking. If you get one have it reinforced. ------------------ |

Rich, you may want to check this thread out about reinforcing the luggage rack bracket: http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/000405.html ------------------ |

Rich - I read about luggage racks breaking and the Weekender was too small for my needs. I decided to spend my $$ on other things and did not buy a trailer, although I still want one. My solution was to buy a cargo carrier that fits in the hitch like the luggage rack. Mine is from DrawTite. I bolted a fiberglass trunk to the carrier or could bungee cord other bags, totes, coolers, etc. A bit utilitarian from the looks standpoint but very functional and carrier does not block rear tail/brake lights.
