Horrible wind and rain on Saturday morning, but the weather broke and the sun came out for the afternoon. Sunday was clear and beautiful. I drove all over town just for fun. The smiles per mile are truly awesome. Not just from me, but from almost everyone that sees the car. One downside, I visited every AutoZone in town and can't find the roll of door edge for the grill. Can you order it anywhere? Mike |

Mike, I wish I would have know that you needed the chrome moulding. I could have sent some with your intake and braces. If you still can not find any, let me know, and I can get it for you. It will be interesting to see how it looks on the candy red. ------------------ MTD Prowler Intake System 2.2 |

I finally found the material I was looking for at Pep Boys. They have the wider moulding - I personally find it to look a lot better. I've taken some pictures this weekend & hopefully I'll have them available for all to see. I used both the half round & u-shaped. I call it my $24/24 hour grille. LOL P.S. Many thanks to JP Roberts for patiently helping me through my many e mails This message has been edited by prowlerbabe on 03-11-2002 at 09:28 AM |

Mike - I bought the last roll at Pep Boys in Louisville and am 18" short of finishing a redo on mine. They told me more due in this week. If you can't find any in Lexington, I will buy this this wekend for you and send it over. Marty BTW - they now have it in gold if anyone is interested. ------------------ Driving my Dream This message has been edited by Marty Usher on 03-11-2002 at 08:30 PM |

Mike - Thanks for joining the huge growing list of owners converting to the Alley Cat Chrome Grill Treatment System. If you can't find the door edge molding at any local auto parts store, try going to the body shop's paint and supply stores to purchase. Their rolls are usually 40 feet long, so you will have a surplus to work with. Thanks Marty,,,,,,be sure to collect the $10 user fee from Mike, and mail me 9 ------------------ |

Marty, That would be great if you don't mind doing it! Thanks for your offer too Bill. I need to get some 'before' pics taken. I plan to order the Tom Mills kit today too so the Candy Red will look a little different soon. Thanks guys! Mike |
