When and where do you meet before you go down Colorado Blvd? This sounds like fun, I have never done this before. ------------------ |

We meet at my house in Arcadia. I am about 2-3 miles from the Sierra Madre Turn off Colorado. That's where the people start camping out all the way to Orange Grove. We are hoping that it does not rain tomorrow night if so. It's a no go! None of the cars have been driven in the rain. No wipers on all. We try to leave between 5 and 6 pm that still gives us time to get to the party and dinner. If you haven't done this on New Years Eve you have to try it at least once. The same for the parade You need to see it person at least once in your life time. Just be ready to go about 2-3 miles per hour for the entire parade route. This year is going to be extra security on the entire route so it will toned down from years in the past when everyone shoots silly string all over everything. ------------------ |

It's fun Cliff, but beware they throw tortillas and shaving cream at some cars. Never to me but I've seen it. Might see you guys out there if weather permitted. ------------------ |

Not this year. It sounds like something for next year though. When I left for work this morning, the roads were still really wet and muddy and it was misting. I don't think, even with an afternoon of sunshine, the roads by me will be in any condition for me to take my kat out on! ------------------ |

Cliff: The weather here in Arcadia/Pasadena is a little nasty and looks like it won't clear up by cruise time. Also Steve in the Chev is having doubts he just had a big $$$ paint job on the car about a month ago. Next year sounds like a great idea. We can plan a New Years Eve afternoon cruise of the Rose Parade Route. We can see if we can get 8-10 Kats to go. We can all meet at my house in Arcadia. It will park between 12-16 Kats on the property off the street. I will put a flag on my calendar for Oct and will propose it then. We can call it SoCaNYECruise To all a Safe and Happy New Year. If we go I will post some Pics of the crowds! ------------------ |

NO WAY TO GET IN THE ROSE PARADE, But there is the DO DAH Parade in November we might try that! Huntington Beach has the July 4th parade and has Hot Rods in that one. Maybe we can get a Real Estate Firm to sponsor us if we can get 3-5 Kats together for the parade. This one is the biggest 4th parade west of Old Miss. I'll make some inquires into HB and Do Dah to see what's needed ------------------ |
