This is part II of the Beloit Autorama story Two of the Kats were parked about 2 rows from us. Here is one of them. If you looked around, there were a LOT OF CARS. Later during the show, they said there were around 1300 divided in some 8 classes. I know they are not Kats, but here are a few of my favorites: This row reminded me of my first car. It was a silver 57' Chevy that my brother and I painted brown and green army camouflage colors. We called it our TACO ROD. I bet that looked great parked in our suburban driveway Toward the end of the day (about 3:00 pm), everyone gathered for the awards ceremony. Duane, from "American Hot Rod" TV show was also at this beloit Car show. It seems he grew up there and so he came back to sign autographs and give a special award to a rod of his sellection. Here is his choice: I dont think any Kats won anything, but we did win the day. It was beautiful and I met a lot of really nice people. Now if I could only remember all of their names.... but I wont forget their Kats! |
