Got a call last night from the local PT Club honcho. They are doing a cruise form the Dallas area on Dec. 7th to Shreveport,La for Christmas lites in E. TX Fri nite and then cruising Sat. They want to rent the Shreveport Drag Strip for the entire day Sat. the 8th of Dec.. They are a little short on money. They have offered us Texas boys a chance to pick up the slack, $500.00 for our share of the track. This covers everything including an emergency medical crew. The PT Club is picking up 1 part and a local dealership another, that leaves the balance to us. Any takers out there. We have about 6 of us already committed, but was wondering if anyone else would be. Time is short as we must give a decision THIS WEEK! Please post of contact me ASAP! We plan on dragging from about 10:00am till late afternoon and then a little gambling at the local casinos and spend the night and cruise home Sunday. ------------------ |

I've never been in a real drag race since high school, when I had two official and lots of unofficial very late at night. At a Prowler rally it would be awesome to have drags between cars with exactly the same equipment with enough runs to see how you do with a little practice. Paul, I would love to be there, but even if you can get 10 people to commit, that's $50 for the drag strip. REMINDER! $50 is not pocket change to me. I'm in the Air Force, I don't make 6 digits like most Prowler owners. If the price goes WAY down, let me know. ------------------ |

Just JP, Hey man, don't let $50.00 spoil your fun. I live in the Longview Texas, Shreveport LA. area and would love to get together with a bunch of you guys. If you want to come just let me know and I will pay your $50.00 if that will make it easier on you. Let's go DRAGGIN'! It's a done deal. I will finalize the itinerary this weekend. There will be trophies for Stock & Modified Class, a show and shine at the Dealership sponsoring the track and lots of fun! Sat. Dec.8th Red River Raceway Shreveport/Bossier City, La. More details to come.

Hi Paul. Yall should have some record setting times on Saturday in Shreveport at Red River Raceway... The temp forecast is between 36 & 61 degrees... Early morning should be around 45 degrees... Low 14s for you... ------------------ |

Laddie- Just got off the phone with Wayne Jones. We are hooking up fri evening to drive to Longview and bed down. We saw the forecast for mid 30's and light winds. Wayne hopes for high 12's maybe low low 13's. Sure wish you could be there. Doc-man, are you in with us. Hope to be at the La Quinta in Longview by 9:00ish Fri nite and pull out Sat am by 7:00-8:00am ------------------ |
