That's one way to get some more trunk space. It looks like a hearse to me though.

The video on eBay is worthless. It does not address the trunk which may or may not severely reduce the car value depending on how much it impacted the body. How they arrive at a $40k price is beyond me.

The delivery hardtop should not impact the value of the car unless they still do not have the original deck lid and convertible top to provide with the car. That top is a direct bolt on replacement with no modifications required to install it. It mounts to the trunk hinges and uses the same attachment at the windshield.

I like the look of the delivery hardtop especially this one. I think it looks better on brighter colored cars, the black does it no justice.

I think it's fugly.Almost as bad as the Chevy SSR. The only redeeming factor is that it is a Mopar first, and a Prowler second. JMHO

I don't think the lines are right for this set up. The tiny side windows look great with a STANDARD hard top, they look lost on this one. I wouldn't say ugly or anything along those lines, but not right for the shape of this car. I really couldn't imagine it working on ANY color.
Now seeing as the top is where the window seals if they engineered a window that you could change out with the hard top and the back of the windows at a more "conventional" angle with more window I really think it would work. Only reason I would consider a mod like this would be for trunk space. IMHO you only need room for your lady sitting next to you in a prowler I don't care about the trunk.

Aha. Got it. So, it is a dress up part. I think it can be saved aesthetically by having some small windows in the sides. It's the big blank expanse that looks weird. I wonder what the cost of the big ol' top was? It looks much better on the lighter colored cars.

It needs a sun roof and side windows recessed (frenched) in and I think it could be a real option. It grows on me the more I look at it - except on the black car. I'd love to spend some time and fiber glass effort on glass panels and port holes!

Have pictures of Steve Gillespies black Prowler with M&L delivery top and it looked fantastic

He had to do a lot of work to it to get fit and finish inside and out to look so good.

Not sure where his car & top is.... Think it got sold with top seperate.

Mark is the M of M. & L ...... That is a Purple car

Seen both Marks & Steve and Steve's probably had a better finish than Mark . I have some pictures but my lap tops are junk and cannot get to most my pictures.

TLRandall,

I remember talking to you before you bought the top (regarding the seller, and my dealings withhim regarding a prior purchase).

Looks like you have done a ton of work to the top since you received it. Looking good!! Hope to see it in person someday....

Thanks, it’s coming along, and I finally have it on a car!
I took a break from that project to put the garage building up, and hope to get back started on it soon. I still need to have the rear hinges fabricated, then it should be ready for custom paint.
Good to hear from you!

I’m in the group of I like the top as well... brings a different vibe to the prowler... I prefer the regular hard top but this is a nice show car look or something rock at certain shows... if it’s easy to convert.

I contacted the seller and ask about the original deck and top . He stated that the car comes with no extra parts

So, it's a $40k car that needs a complete soft top and a rear deck to be whole for resale to anyone not enamored of the delivery top? Hmm. The best part of my Prowler is top-down cruising so this would be a deal breaker immediately. If I could afford to store more Prowlers, different story.
