There was an article in the internal Chrysler Times newspaper by the UAW. It featured this picture and what a surprise!! That's the first time I've seen an advertisement with a Prowler in it in a long time! They also have a TV ad similar to this using the same Prowler! That was even more of a shock to see a Prowler in a TV ad relating to DC!

Too bad someone didn't do this more often in the last several years!

Agreed, shocking and timely! Certainly at this point on the timeline it is pointless to market the Prowler for sales, but DC would do well to remind the fickle buying public of its rich and innovative heritage. The Prowler was pictured in a local dealers add over the weekend for the first time that I can recall.

CJ,

We have another division here at Metalcrafters called, Camera Ready Cars. This division is contracted by DC to handle most of the photo fleet vehicles for DC west of the Mississippi in there advertising; TV, print ads, & dealer brochures. MSX will handle everything east of the Mississippi. We have used a Silver Prowler in almost every Chrysler brand ad this year. Somehow they never seem to make it to print. I have only seen the Prowler in (1) TV spot this year!

That is exactly my point. On all those Car and Driver, Motortrend magazine ads (with all the silver cars) the Prowler never seems to appear. Even though we do have a silver Prowler that will bring class and prestige to the line up. Yet the Viper seems to find its way to all Dodge ads between the Neon and the Ram.

Prowler needs publicity like the T-bird is getting. And t-bird is nothing but a modified Lincoln LS

I am not bashing the new T-Bird as I kind of like it BUT two years from now it will be ho hum. After almost 3 years I still get the same reaction with my cat as I did way back then.

Ed - I kinna think you managed to hit the nail on the head here. The "new" T-Bird looks nice and all that, but after a year or so, all you've got is another "FORD" and no one will be turning their heads to look at it. I've had my KAT since early '98 and it still turns heads like it did when I drove it home from the dealers ---- and at the car shows, there isn't anything else that garners the looks and overall attention like the Prowler --especially a bunch of Prowlers lined up side by side. Now thats a show stopper!
