The Chrysler Group (Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep) has extended its ride on the 0 percent trail until Jan. 8. Chrysler joins General Motors and Ford Motor Co., in keeping the no-interest loans in effect.

At Chrysler, 0 percent financing applies to all 2002 and 2001 models except the Chrysler PT Cruiser and Prowler, Dodge Viper, Jeep Liberty and Dodge/Chrysler e-minivans.

The GM incentive is slated to end Jan. 2, thus Chrysler can wait until GM acts before deciding upon its next step in the financing-rate competition. Ford's 0 percent loans continue until Jan. 14. -- From Automotive News, Nov. 26, 2001 edition.

I noticed in Sundays paper that a local dealer not only is advertising 2 Prowlers in stock, but are extending the 0% and warranty spiffs on them as well. Interesting to note that a local GM dealership sold over 800 units in October, highest single month ever and 2nd highest in the nation by a couple, but only a small percentage of sales were on the 0%. Many don't want to spend a thousand or more per month on car payments for 36 months, seems to work best for those who would have paid cash. Once in the door, buyers realize a low interest finance for 48-72 months suits them better.

A Detroit dealership that had sold 152 units in October sold only 8 under 0%. The promotion appears to be a terrific sales hook to bring buyers in the store!

Ceramic brake pads, should have done it sooner, flaps down front and rear, Hot Wheels steering wheel cover, logo valve stem caps..otherwise OUT OF THE CRATE STOCK...FOR NOW!

Chrysler is also making some good deals on the PT Cruiser . Just bought a 2002 at 2.9% intrust and included a 7yr 100,000mi powertrain warranty. The dealership said that last month was one of the best months they have ever had in sales.

The 0% for GM products now does not include Corvettes anymore.I was lucky I got 4years at .9% plus I save $8,450.00 with my stepdad GM discount. I wish the DC would go 0% on Prowlers.
