According to this press release, this would apply to any new purchases of Prowlers. Here's the press release dated 11/01/2001: Chrysler Group to Bring Americans "Home for the New Holiday program provides peace of mind with "Quite simply, we want people to feel secure that their car, truck or minivan will be taken care of for a long time," said Jim Schroer, Executive Vice President - Global Sales and Marketing. "This holiday season will be an extra special one for all Americans and their families. And we all want to be extra close to friends and loved ones. With so many other things on people's minds, we want to assure our customers that the long-term protection of their vehicle won't be a George Murphy, Senior Vice President - Global Brand Marketing said: "We have a portfolio of some of the freshest products in the industry, with vehicles like Chrysler PT Cruiser, Jeep Liberty and the just-introduced Dodge Ram, along with great value pricing on our 2002 models. When you combine all that with the security of an extended service plan, we think we offer consumers the best opportunity in the market to buy a new car or truck." ------------------ |

That's a nice press release and it's a nice deal. But you would like to see Chrysler make some money some day too. They have stolen from future sales on the zero financing program. And they have given ground on this warranty to compete with the Korean's who offer this and are making inroads into market share. Mighty tough times ahead for Detroit I'd say. |
