I am getting ready to paint the kat and am wanting to do something custom under the hood. What worries me is the removal of the insulation...can anyone tell me if this is for noise only or if I remove this and do custom paint under the hood will the engine heat effect it or the surface paint ? thanks ------------------ |

Bob, contact Nyle Wing, as he took his cat apart to paint it the new bright orange. He did a beautiful job on it and I am sure he can help you out! ------------------ Classic/Beautiful - I'm referring to the Cat of course! |

Bob, If you leave the hood insulation out there are a few braces that will show that might not look so good. You could put a very thin piece of polished stainless in it's place , might look cool. ------------------ |

Nyle, thanks. I am actually looking to do a mural on the underside so it may distract from the braces. My main concern was the main purpose for the insulation and without it will it effect the paint at all. Did you keep the insulation in yours ? ------------------ |
