Just looked at www.yahoo.com and searched on "prowler" in the auto section. Found 81 Kats for sale in Florida. Look at the number of Kats available nationwide, amazingly high number. A good portion available are sold via dealer, but I wonder why people are selling the prowler?? Are the owners bored, selling for financial hardship (a lot of layoffs), what reason? Just curious why someone would sell the best car in America. |

Maybe people are finding out that the "Home Depot Warranty" isn't all that good and doesn't apply except at a few stores across the country? Maybe guys have found out that having the wind blow through their hair is making them go bald earlier? Maybe the owners are tired of everyone asking them "What kind of car is that?" Maybe its time to change the rubber and they found out how expensive the tires are? Who knows! ------------------ |

Cliff, Interesting reasons, and I guess you are right, there are many. My friend took his Kat to the Orlando auction and sold it for $36K because he wanted a new Lexus sports car. Some people always want the newest cars, and just don't see the "magic" of the prowler. I plan to always keep my kat. |

My Cat is a "keeper". But, I still have my first car too! I have a hard time getting rid of cars. ------------------ |

Cars seem to trade alot like stock. People tend to trade alot like sheep. Once one or two start going, the herd (Don't SPOOK the herd)quickly jumps in and dumps their's (stock or cars) assuming they are going to be worthless and want to get out before it bottoms out. Most don't even know why they are dumping. I suspect the same is true of cars. Take a look at dot com's, before the crash, you could almost write an idea on a napkin and get VC for millions. Now, with a solid business plan and revenue stream, alot of good companies are going under because no one wants to touch "dot.com" stock. We saw it coming, removed the "dot.com" part and replaced it with "Inc." and really weren't affected. Of course, having revenue stream increase 600% this year didn't hurt but, you get the idea. ------------------ Mods: 2001 Speed Yellow Porsche Cabriolet |

Maybe it is because the "low tire" senors are bad and it cost $1000+ to get them replaced? just a hunch? ------------------ |

I have thought about selling the Cat. I'm on my third one...I'm sure that if I sold it, and then saw one on he road, I'd go and buy another one...Since I like my color the best..it's hard to replace. NO..I'm not telling you the color...don't want to start the nasty posts. ------------------ |

Some people had bigger expectations from the car, the dealer, and other people. It is one of the coolest cars on the road but some people got disappointed with the squeaks, finish and DC. Just my opinion. ------------------ |

For those who worry about about their bottom line, influence or class the Kat is a sometime thing. For those who are grabbed by a boss deuce roadster, love NHRA stuff and feel the essence of car, their Kat is forever. ------------------ |
