I located a sign shop and had vinyl cats made in Purple, Black, Silver and Medium Blue. They are approx. 4 1/2 inches long and 1 inch high. I had him make some facing each direction so that they can face the front of the car on the left or right side. These are the crouching cats that are the logo. They can make any size in any color. These are $ 4 each. If you want any, simply send me $ 4 for each vinyl decal and tell me the color and which way you want it facing, along with a stamped, self addressed return envelope. Don't email me. Send $ to Ed Monahan 355 Grand Ave Cincinnati, OH 45205. I will also be bringing them to Deadwood. I will be driving an 18 wheeler to carry all this stuff. Monahan's Prowler Emporium or Monahan's General Store, which sounds better? Did anyone check into the group price for the train cars? |

Larry S, I don't have a digital camera, I don't know how to post pictures, I barely can operate this computer so the answer is, sorry, No I can't post a picture. I put one black cat on the lower end of the trunk, off center and I think it looks great. I will try to get Andy to take a picture and post it. There are some pictures on this site of the decals, but I have no idea who posted them or how to find them. Sorry. I have no technical skills or knowledge with computers Sasquatch, I don't know if they are 3M backed. He had several different quality vinyls and told me to only use the best ones. Apparently he can make shimmers and was going to make me a set, while I waited but I didn't follow thru on that. He does a lot of commercial work on vans for radio stations, locally. If I can sell something to a Canadian, I can then add INTERNATIONAL to my company name, eh? This message has been edited by ed monahan on 06-12-2001 at 12:07 PM |

Phil's are more of an outline of the cat, mine are exactly like the picture on Phil's license plate, as a matter of fact. Thanks for posting it, Phil. What did you guys pay for yours? Can you order just one? What is shipping? Someone else had the solid ones while showing their bumpers or shimmers. I don't remember who. I just looked at the back of the decals and some of them do show the 3M trademark. He said they would last at least 5 years. I do not know if all the colors were 3M as they had to change rolls of vinyl for the different colors. This message has been edited by ed monahan on 06-12-2001 at 04:26 PM |

I have the set from Phil's contact in Folsom $6 for set of four that mount on the cener wheel cap (he sent an extra set of the solids, but on the wheels the outline looked better)... Also, oredered a set for dash (4 or 5") & they were $9 for set of two. However, he used two colors (yellow & orange) to try & match my flames... Here's a question. Could a decal be made where the Cat would peel off. I'm thinking this could go on Marker lights. When the lights light up you would see the Cat... ------------------ |

Paul, Yes, I am sure he has Chrome or at least silver. Measure how wide you want it totally, including the word Prowler and the cat and the Height of it. I will stop and ask him if he has chrome and get a price after you tell me what size. The cat is 1 inch high by about 4 1/2 long so if you want it to be in that ratio it could get pretty tall. He can make it any size but you want it to look right proportionally. Are you going to mount it similar to a sun visor strip along the top of the windshield? Let me know and I will get back to you right away. Laddie, I am not sure what you are asking in your last question. Are you talking about a plain background or an outline? It sounds to me like you got the outline of the cat and he sent you the solid part that came out of that outline. This message has been edited by ed monahan on 06-12-2001 at 10:15 PM |

Ed, can your source make the cat about the size of the yellow side markers? And can he then make a reverse of the cat... so that the decal would cover the side marker except for the cat cut-out... I think that's what Laddie is describing... Sounds like a neat idea. I'll test market this for you on a black Prowler all the way to Deadwood for you. (You can consider my commission as that Prime Rib steak on the 3rd...) Anything for the Monahan Traveling Emporium and Sideshow ------------------ |

John, Thank you for explaining that to me. I get the picture now. Hard to believe my IQ is in the high 90's, huh. I presume that can be done. I won't have time to do it tomorrow (Wed) but should be able to find out Thurs. You will still be eating room temp. hot dogs with Sasquatch. When I eat everyone eats and when I pay, everyone pays. What color do we want this outline, black? to block out most of the light? |

Ed, make it in black only. Then patent it. Anyone with a different colour car will have to paint their car black to use these. And I'd say make it somewhat larger than the lens itself so the seam of the lens/skirt could be masked over. Cold dogs? I'll bet the beer is warm too 'eh? I really wouldn't want to deprive the Canadians of your American Hospitality, and I know Sasquatch is really looking forward to the leftovers, so I guess no hot dogs for me... ------------------ |

GPS, I NEVER drink beer so you would be fortunate to even get a warm beer from me. The Cannucks will bring their own Labatts (?) and Molson so they don't have to drink this domestic stuff. I rarely drink but when I do it is a "Godfather" which is scotch and Amaretto. You don't have to drink a whole lot of them, like beer. |

Ed, John S. explained it better than me... and, lil larger than marker light to cover sides would be perfect.... I was thinking the solid Cat would light up... 2nd question. We need a prototype in at least two colors... Red, & Black... ------------------ |

See Ed, your crack marketing department is already reaping revenue for ya. You'll be rolling in it before you know it! (Hey Sasquatch, maybe we can get MohairMonahan to buy us dinner afterall!) Sophisticated research has shown the proposed sidemarker decals would look best if done only in black. Surprisingly, that same research shows that -all- Prowlers would look better in black as well. MohairMonahan will provide the first can of black spray paint to anyone who buys his inflated priced products... ------------------ |

Paul, he does have chrome. You want it chrome with Purple "Prowler and (the cat)" or black? Normally the word is a little higher than the cat. Is that how you want it or do you want them level. Do you want the chrome to go the entire width of the windshield? and how tall? I am just sitting here thinking that this may be a cheap way to chrome the rear parts of the frame and the front suspension, A Frames. I will have to look into that, also. He said the vinyl will last 5 years if it sits outside, indefinitely if garaged. It won't rot but would fade eventually if left outside all the time. GPS, Is the side marker perfectly flat or is it convex? If it is not flat, that could cause a small problem, but we could cut slits in the four "corners" to allow for the curvature. I got caught in the rain on the m/c and forgot to check the side lights. I rent a garage about a half a mile away, and will go check later. As for the marketing dept, Sasquatch is fired. I had race tickets and he said they were behind a pole, I posted decals and he recommends somebody else. It is amazing that I am losing money this quickly, in spite of him undermining my efforts to sell below cost. I got him free pencils and he needs more. I think he has been out in the wilderness alone for far too long. You never hear of anyone spotting a FEMALE Sasquatch, do you. See what I mean. He is exhibiting anti-social behavior. I am going to cancel my debt to him to teach him a lesson. I will simply write it off. Sasquatch you are now in charge of Consumer Relations instead of sales & marketing. I figure we will take advantage of your strenghts. This message has been edited by ed monahan on 06-13-2001 at 03:25 PM |

Ed, allowing for overlap on the side marker and trimming, imagine an oval 6 inches long and 2-1/2 inches high to cover the lens. The lens does raise from the side skirt by about a 1/4 inch, so trying to blend the decal onto the body for a seamless appearance probably won't work afterall. Additionally the lens does have a slight curvature going outward across the lens. This curvature is minor, and by carefully adhering the decal, the decal will stretch enough to allow for this. A sharp exacto knife can trim what's left over around the edges if needed. It looks like a cat "cut-out" of 3-1/2 to 4 inches, centered on the decal would work, with appropriate height factored in. Hope these figure help. (Too bad about Sasquatch, huh?) ------------------ |

Ed - FIRED??? DEBT WIPED OUT??? Mohair, I have a three year contract with you for outlined services! Don't forget that! Also, my lawyer, Al Bendover said I get 10% royalty check quarterly! I have all my bases covered! Give that Consumer Relations job to FMITBT - he is cordial to all. GPS - you and I will eat like kings in Deadwood. I talked to a Trisha there (Holiday Inn), and she is going to charge ALL of our meals to Mohair's room and his credit card. What a guy There was once upon a time, a lady Sasquatch, who disappeared. Has been on America's Most Wanted three times - no luck in finding her. Last reported sighting was in Beaver Crossing, Nebraska - you westbounders might keep an eye out for her!!! |

You'll be eating like Kings, alright. Rodney King and Don King. Maybe Kong, King if you like bananas. You're right, what was I thinking putting you in charge of consumer relations. That would never work. I have to admit I am laughing as I type this. Too funny, Sasquatch. |

GPS, I figured you no longer wanted to be directly connected to Sasquatch, so I made a separate entry. After it stopped raining I looked at the marker lights. I think it is doable with a little work. I should have time to do that tomorrow. I am wondering if the black vinyl is thick enough to block out the light completely. It is possible that it will take two layers. He should be able to make them while I wait unless he has a lot of REAL business to take care of. There are generally three of them there but they have been doing a lot of radio vans so I don't know how busy they will be. This is supposed to look like an orange cat shining thru the black outline of the cat, correct. Similar to the batman signal. I will have him make a set of red also and try them out. I will also see about getting some chrome pieces to do the A-frame. Thank God I don't have anything better to do, huh. That reminds me I have slacked off on finding Wildcat JL cars. There is one on eBay listed as a DODGE Prowler. That is rarer than a white interior. Maybe I had better bid. |
