I need to sell my 1999 Red w/ 4,000 miles. Based on your experiences, what is the best method to market the car? Specific internet sites, publications, etc...? Thanks for your help. |

Try the local paper you might get more money if the person does not know alot about what prowlers are going for.JMO ------------------ |

quote: another thing about ebay and autotrader (I believe they are one in the same) is that you pay to place the ad whether it sells or not but, you also have to deal with people that maybe can't afford the car and bid on it anyway. I have seen several cars listed in there, supposedly sold, yet the exact same used car reappears a week later as the person welched on the deal. eBay assumes you got you money and deducts it from your credit card. You have to prove that you didn't get paid over a period of waiting at least 10 days no greater then 60. Be careful. FYI-there is no way to force someone to pay if they won the high bid. ------------------ Mods: 2001 Speed Yellow Porsche Cabriolet |

From what I have heard allot of these EBAY so called reneged sale deals that fell through were actually a result of a schill bidding to up the price and coming in at high price because the seller did not want to turn it loose for less . It's a Jungle out there. ------------------ |

I would think that if you put a noticeable sign on the car and park it in a high traffic area that you would generate a lot of interest. Go to a speedway, a concert that would draw the right age group, a golf tournament or even a high traffic restaurant on a Friday or Sat evening, a church festival, etc. You might get an "Impulse" buyer when they saw how nice the car is. |
