New machined piece to fit the AC lines.

It was very tight in there and was hard to get some clean shots of the freon intercooler. But it's in there!!

Here is a better look!

Bob Wyman the night before decided to race a Vette and turned on the nitrous and blew his AC belt right off. He was not able to demonstrate the system. I was only able to take some limited amount of pics. I have more shots but thought these would be good enough.

I will be posting the rest of the Prowler Club Delta Tour for Sunday Jun 10th.

Later...

So, before he blew his belt off, I'm sure he did some dyno runs-NO? What were the results?

There might be a little more HP with the dyno run but when the car is heat soaked, the AC/intercooler would give you power like the motor was cold/cool.

My times at Texas cool/cold motor: 12.7
Very very heat soaked motor where: 13.4

I would quess the times would be : 12.8-12.9, to me that is a huge difference to me and I WANT ONE. OOPS no car, tonight the head comes off.

BTW, Dan , thanks for the Photos, no tickets??????????

No, Bob did not have any dyno sheets with him.

He did say that when the Paxton CAT was fully warmed up and doing runs. When they went to check the manifold temps, they were 100+ degrees cooler. You can go and touch the intake pipe and it was fresh to the touch. No heat indications.

He also said that with this setup you will loose about a pound of boost due to the air flow restrictions within the intercooler.

To me, this translates to some serious ponies. My CAT would feel like it does in the mornings. Fresh and ready to rumble.

Dan, Dan, Dan ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, You will learn,, one thing never to do is to decieve people,,

Who do you think was taking the vid????,,,,,,,,

You've got to earn it Dan,, You aren't there yet,,,

On the intercooler deal,, I was kind of bummed. Was looking foward to seeing it run.

Gary, No one would race, especially Dan.

He just wanted to spin tires.

I got next to Bob Wyman,, no deal, he just waved,,

Not really sure about the intercooler yet, I would want temp in, temp out guages.
And a real dyno,, all being equal. You lose hp when you turn on the AC, plus looseing boost. Not sure how much is gained back with cold air yet, I want facts, not hearsay. Sorry.
Dan, you are such a dreamer,,,,,,

I'm with you JD. I thought I read right that the cooling came from running the AC. I couldn't believe it. Robbing from Peter to pay Paul. What ever gains there are would have a large chunk taken out by the running AC. Guess we'll have to wait for the dyno to be sure.

Boy John,

You sure took along time to set me straight. I knew you would.

I did this on purpose because I was looking forward to you responding. I knew you would not sit still on this one since you were the one who took the video photage.

Yes, Bob Wyman left us in the afternoon and did not complete the tour. I had to ask him to allow me to take some pics before he left. He was kind enough to remove his side panel so that I could take the pics above.

No racing occured. John Davies was looking to rumble though. He was not a happy guy since no one raced him. He went home unsatisfied. Sorry about that John!!

Next time if John wants to race I will take him up on it. The Paxton car was a little hung over on Sunday. However Saterday night the car wooped-up on a Z06 Corvette with no problem. The guy followed me into the gas station and said he thought the Prowler had a 6 cylinder? I said it did!
