I know, I know. Street racing is dangerous and irresponsible. But sometimes we can't help it. The Prowler is a fast sports car, like my eclipse, and sometimes the urge to launch is to overwhelming. Now I dont race in traffic, cutting people off, or act crazy in crowded traffic. It usually happens, late at night, when the roads are barren. Eclipse GT vs Mustang One of my best kills was a Mustang Convertible that was merging onto the highway while I was cruising in the left lane talking to my friend. He shot out like a cannon and the car in front of him was slower so he had to slow down while I passed them in the left lane of a two lane road. "watch this guy try to race me," I said. As I dropped down to 3rd gear and took off and instantely the mustang got behind me and got close to me. I waited a little and then he switched to the middle lane. My friend saw he was with a girl and thought I couldnt beat him. But I know the Eclipse has great 70-100mph speed. I dropped it into 2nd for a second, tires chirping and than back to 3rd as I blew ahead and ahead as the guy became a blip on my rear view mirror. We stopped at Dunkin' Donuts and my friend was so pumped, and made me love my car for that night, until we met an NSX.....;-) What about u, any Boxster Kills? Jaws - NSX sucked my doors off one day, I knew better but thought, what the hell! Friday nite, beat a highly pumped Honda four times on the freeway, with step down runs from 40 MPH. I wanted to go a fifth time from stop, but they had enough |

quote: Kinda hypocritical isn't it when you state you don't race in traffic then go on to tell us of your "kill" on a freeway with other cars out there? Perhaps you will learn that that is not the place for that kind of activity after you "kill" someone else or watch the other car you are racing "kill" someone. You may think your car is hot and you are in control but, the reality is you can't handle a stock car at 100+ mph if confronted with an emergency situation. I have NEVER raced on any street or freeway, nor any place where there are innocent people that could loose their life for a stupid (yes, stupid) stunt. Yes, I have raced on a track or a speedway so as any stupid decision on my part didn't hurt anyone else. I know a high school buddy who is now a quasi-vegetable because of street racing and know of at least 2 other people killed by stupid street racing. Like you said, "Street racing is dangerous and irresponsible". I hope you learn that and obey it. ------------------ Mods: 2001 Speed Yellow Porsche Cabriolet |

it was 3am and there were only two cars on the road, the one i raced and a car i passed. What is the problem when u are at a red light and gun it to 40mph. I am not driving 120mph. That night i went to about 75mph on a barren freeway. I wouldnt race a prowler if I didnt know anything about it. It looks really intimidating. |

The Arizona group saw a dead deer on the side of the road on our way to Sedona last weekend. If only there had been a meat cutter with us... |

Trey, couldn't agree with you more. I've been in several accidents during my young and reckless years and came out of it unscathed. Unless you have first hand experienced the deadening sound of metal impacting and disintegrating and your entire body helplessly and uncontrollably thrown around you will never appreciate the potential DANGER you expose yourself and others to by driving irresponsibly. All for a cheap thrill. I've been there and I'm forever grateful to be able to return. |
