I was wondering about the distribution of colors in the USA. At our last cruise to the wine country we had 8 silver Prowlers and only one red one because George Carter came up from Southern California. We don't have any at our Nor CA cruises. To test my theory, that certain colors are sent to certain places, I counted all the registered owners on this site to see how many silver and how many red. There are 70 red owners, 6 are from So CA, and 1 from Nor CA So I can see that hardly any red Prowlers were sent to Nor CA, and lots of silver ones were. I know every dealer that had a Prowler, that I checked when I was looking for an orange, had a silver one in stock. One tried to trade his silver for an orange, but no one would take him up on it. I finally got mine from NE. Is this planned, or is it just a coincidence? I'm sure it applies to other colors, but that's all the time I am going to take to prove it. ------------------ |

Dealers in the midwest seem to have a good mix of colors....have seen all colors during the last few years and the local events we have seem to draw a good mix also....in a 30 mile radius of my town there are 2 red, 3 black,3 yellow, 2 purple, 1 silver, 1 orange, 3 blue....no Woodward or Black ties I have seen....I am sure there are others, but these are the ones I have seen with my own eyes... ------------------ |

The red Prowlers were the most widely dispersed, because DC was still in the process of giving one to every 5-Star dealer that signed up. The silver ones tended to be more concentrated in the larger dealers. Keep in mind, Jim, that those numbers represent a small portion of the total owners of production red and silver Prowlers. It's coincidence. ------------------ |

My dealer in Fillmore had the choice of a silver or blue - they chose the blue. Maybe it is dealer choices also? ------------------ |

The silver color was develped by DC to be "the color" for the start of the 21st Century, and so named "MILLENIUM SILVER". Targeted to the PLATNIUM (credit card) group of consumers. Notice that all Chrysler division TV ads ALL used the MILLENIUM SILVER colored cars in 2000! V V V V I made up all of the above, its BS! |
