Hey Prowler owners,

I am selling my Black-Tie and I have a potential buyer asking if it is smog legal in Cali. I know john Davies and Dan Pena both are in Cali but not sure about Smog? This car came from Michigan. Thank you in advance,

It seems I was asked the same at one time, and I think it is CA. legal.
95% sure.

Hey ONDPROL, I am 100% sure that it is smog legal in CA. I just bought a 2001 and worried about it. I found out, for sure, that all '00's and '01's are 50 state legal. It even says specifically that it is smog legal in California on the sticker under the hood.

To register it in CA you have to get it smogged though. I had to take my brand new, with 3 miles on it, and get it smogged to register it. No problem though so to save the new owner time he might as well get it smogged before he tries to register it.

They are 50 State legal but the buy will have to have it smog checked when they register it.

go figure.
