Does anyone wash under the hood? If you do what do you use? How often do wash the motor? I have never washed under the hood yet and looked like it needed it. ------------------ This message has been edited by cnote6 on 05-28-2001 at 10:52 PM |

Chris - try using JUST compressed air first, then wet and dry hand towels for spot work. I also use Simple Green for any road grease, etc. I think I get a buzz from the smell ------------------ Lone Wolf to Deadwood |

Hi My detailer guy uses the orange cleaner for under the hood cleaning. He also swears by his Watkins product??? Don't know which one, but he says it cleans under the hood without drying out the hoses and rubber parts. PS That is very important not to use an acid cleaner such as super clean by Castrol under the hood. I know someone that did and certain parts deteriorated in less than a month. It also make rubber gummy too and can corrode parts too. ------------------ |

For dirt and grease on the aluminum I use Brake Cleen and then detail the rest out with Protect All, and I do this every time I wash them, along with a complete inside and outside detailing. ------------------ |
