Our club members in the Orlando/Tampa area are putting on a picnic July 7th.

It will be at the Turkey Lake Park’s pavilion #1, in Orlando. The time will be 11a.m to 3pm. They are asking folks to bring a side dish, snack or dessert. They will provide hamburgers and chicken breast. They will need volunteers for cooking.

The directions from I-4; take SR-435 North/Kirkman Road exit (go approx. 1.5 miles), turn left on Conroy Road (go approx. 1.5 miles), turn right on Hiawassee Road (go almost 1 mile) and the park is on your right.

Hotel in Orlando will be the Red Roof Inn. The rate is $66.59 including tax and continental breakfast for a room with 2 queen-size beds. Mention you are with the FPTCC and rooms must be reserved by June 30th, to get the special rate. The hotel is across the street from Universal Studios, Universal Islands of Adventure and the City Walk.

We are also working on getting us into Old Town car show on Saturday night. (Neat Place). Normally this show is for cars 1973 and older but they welcome visiting car clubs and may make an exception for us. More on that later.

We expect to have 45 to 50 cars show up so thats like 100 people !!

This is a benefit event ($2. admission/person) so some of the after expense proceeds will go to St. Judes Childrens Hosp.
