I found out today from the Arbitration panel, that, even though I am 4 months past a by back Lemon law date on my Orange, it will take another THREE MONTHS before I see a new car, assuming I go with Arbitration! That means I will have been paying 7 MONTHS on a car I cannot use! **seeing** a little red here.

I think the same way. It will cost alittle but the results will come out. A lawyer has always worked for me.

I don't know why it has gone on this long.

Bring out the DOGSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm here for you

Hey now Todd, I think its time for some advertising, like rent a bill board and slam that dealership!!! If you can't afford it, lets take up a kitty for it. I'll throw down on it!!!

Hi Todd

I had a problems years ago with a Pontiac Firebird. It was truly a lemon. The dealer ignored my request and keep delaying the whole process. The car sat in my garage for 3 months.
Luckily, since I was in advertising at the time, I called a friend at a local television station. They had and still do, a program segment that helps consumers with problem products.
This is all it took, I meet the crew at the auto dealership and when the manager saw us approaching, he said. quote. "I think we can resolve this without cameras". Anyway to make this short, I got a new car that day. This was years ago, but dealers do not want bad press or media coverage. It takes dollars out of their pockets

I have contacted this program via a local news channel called Bogey's Corner. They deal with consumer disputes all the time. They e-mailed the dealer service manager Friday (he was a little upset, oh well!). I'm sending them another e-mail today. "they" are willing to replace or have polished all the corroded parts on the Orange and fix her,but I think Chrysler owes me more now. This, or, an arbitration buy back, will take another 3 months or so! That will make it 7 MONTHS without my Orange!

Sassy, I think he had a crack in the frame next to the passenger side of the windshild.

I don't know how it was noticed? Todd?

The firewall panel that is behind the hood hing area was separating in the sealant due to stress caused by a not properly relieved hood hing (so DC finally decided was the problem anyhow). I complained of excessive noise the 1st day I had her out with 75 miles on her, was told to bring her in on Monday (the call was Friday Jan 1st, 2001), on the 4th, in she went and the Prowler Tech at the dealer found the crack. I have found successive serial numbers of Oranges with the same or similar crack all within a rough 100 Vin #'s of mine, and, personally, conclude, that there must be around 100 Oranges out there with this problem.

Hi Todd;

Sorry to hear about your problem. Could you post the vin# so those of us with orange ones can check how close our vin #s are. Thanks
