Hey All,

I don't know about you, but the new 2003 Viper Sucks! The only thing that is good about the car is the 500/500/500 V-10 engine, and the side exhaust are finally back! Other than that the rest of the car sucks. The styling on the back end is so conservative it looks like a sebring, and the front end they replaced the massive hood (awesome styled) with a boring traditional one. By making the hood a normal size they saved about $10,000 in production cost ... so does this mean the Viper is going to be $10,000 cheaper in sticker price?

The Viper GTS-R model at the auto shows makes the viper look a bit more aggressive. But to me the new 2003 viper convertible looks like a sebring on steroids!

The design for the new Viper has more to do with aerodynamics for racing then totally for looks. Since Team Viper wants to win more races, they wanted a sleaker body for it.

I agree, I like the older style (current) better but, the newer one will be faster.

Well, i dont think they are worrying too much about racing w/ the new convertable. It looks like crap.
The GTSR on the other hand is awesome! I would think that would be their racing platform. Not the toned down convertable !?

I'm positive they won't be racing with the convertible but,
don't or won't they both use the same basic body, sans the top? The profile of the new one is alot more aerodynamic then the current one and was developed for the racing side of Dodge (or so I read)

Spoons, have you seen it in person yet? I have not, and I doubt if my opinion of it will change if I were to see it in person....having said that, though, there are MANY people on another board I frequent that QUICKLY changed their minds and fell in love with it once they saw it close up! Bottom line...it is NOT the Viper I fell in love with many years ago, and I'd sooner buy another Gen I or Gen II before I bought it. Again, only my opinion. It is beautiful, OK lines, overall I would say it is nice....but not my love. (shrug) I need a RT/10 to park beside the GTS!!

Love the Viper, do not like the convertible look in it, prefer the targa top look. To me it looks like a bigger Honda 2000S.
