I have a 2000 Prowler and experience the following problem: Whenever I wind it out from a standing start, it will quick- ly crank to 6500 RPM's or thereabouts , then will noticably stall at the high RPM level prior to shifting to 2nd gear. Also, I can be riding along at 40-50 MPH, punch it with the accelator to the floor, the RPM's will quickly increase, but there is a noticable delay in it shifting into overdrive gear. I had a Paxton kit installed after having it 3 months, but this had nothing to do with the problem as it was occuring from inception. What causes this and how can I correct it. Any/all replies appreciated. larrys@dlease.com |

The input tranny sensors have been a problem with all DC products. Maybe you should replace them. Very simple fix. Does your Kat act sluggish? Do you feel a performance loss? Have you been doing neutral drops? One more thing does it do this in drive and auto stick or both? ------------------ |

Disconnect the battery for 15 minutes and reconnect. Go for a drive, the tranny and torque converter will go through its learning cycle, hope this helps. |
