Here's a picture of Paul presenting Patrick with a helmet & Red Prowler signed by all attendees from Friday & Saturday at the raffle Saturday night.

It was a pleasure to meet Patrick & Jim Foster & all their family. I think Patrick got to ride around the TMS track with JP.

It was great to finally meet Patrick and his family. He is an amazing young man. I was able to visit with Jim for a while after the banquet and Patrick is truly lucky to have such a wonderful and supportive family.

Hope to see them at another event.

Laddie,
Danny is correct. I couldn't swallow the $90 fee, so I didn't drive on the track. Patrick rode with GaryC. I too was a passenger, still enjoyed it.

I had fun at the TMS last weekend. I rode with Gary C. on Saturday and we listened to The Cars, I like The Cars. I asked him if he had Pink Floyd, but he didn't have it. On Sunday I rode with Joe Bob. We got to go around the track six times, and I got out after that. Gary C. went around 80 mph and Joe Bob barely touched 100 mph. Thanks for inviting me and my family. I had a good time. I liked everyone I met. I would like to thank everyone for the helmet and car. I hope to see you again at another event.
Sincerely, Patrick

May I add sincere thanks for everyone's generosity regardless of how it was expressed. Patrick got a big kick out of the bullet hole decals, he told another student he was in a rough neighborhood down there. Special thanks to David & Erika (Erika was most creative, you know what I mean), Paul & Jody, Joe Bob, CJ, Laddie, JP, Debbie & Cecil, Jay Harris, Danny & Kim, Phill & Debbie, Pauley, but especially Gary C.
Mr. Prowlerman, we appreciate the concern you have shown for Patrick, from the first offer of 'blasting out to Oklahoma in case no one else can make it' to calling personally when Patrick was in the hospital, to buying dinner for our whole entourage Saturday night. All of you have touched our lives in such a positive way. Patrick has learned much from your and your colleagues' example of selfless generosity. There are many others whom we have not met that have contributed toward Patrick's self esteem, as well. What you have done may be small to you, but for an exceptional little boy with normal aspirations and an uncooperative body you have done something great. I have one request, if I may. Could the POA do something to further the research now carried on by the MDA?? Jerry Lewis recently went before congress requesting funds from the government for research. The MDA has done its own research during the past 50 years without government money. Their genetic research has isolated the gene that causes MD, but fixing the gene is quite complicated as every gene of every cell must be repaired. I understand that they are making great strides but much more research money is needed, which is why Jerry Lewis is trying to involve the government. We would appreciate any support you can give them. Again, we thank all of you for taking the time to help Patrick and by reading these posts.
Jim
