....In the early days of the PPC(Plymouth Prowler Club), I purchased a '99 black Prowler and used to post on the Prowler forum as "Black 99"......after driving the black Kat for several months and a little over 5K miles, I saw the new 2000 silver Kats and decided I wanted one....I made a deal with a friend of mine, sold the black Kat and I was off to pick up the new silver Prowler.....

....In those days prices were still higher than MSRP at many of the dealers, but I was just skimming the ads on the internet one evening looking at the Kats for sale and spotted the ad below.....the silver Prowler was for sale at a dealer in Woodbridge Virginia and they were asking MSRP.....I called the next day expecting to be told there was a market adjustment, but the sales manager said the price in the ad was correct.....I immediately placed a downpayment with Mr. Visa and made plans to pick the car up in a couple of days.....I even called them back a couple of times to verify the price before getting a bank check made out....

....A few days later my wife and I took off across several states to pick up the "Silver Bullet" ...we had a great trip, were met at the door by the entire sales staff, did our business and were quickly on the way back to the hotel to spend the night....the next day we visited Washington DC, and the following day headed home to Indiana....

...Leaving Virginia with the sun shining bright and the reading of 53 degrees showing on the mirror....I almost left the top down for the trip...In less than an hour down the road we ran into a blizzard on Interstate 68 in the mountains of Maryland....the poor little Prowler was being turned into a 75 mph snow plow.....I finally was reduced to about 20 mph for many miles and still couldn't see the road.....making things worse, we were the only 2 cars on the road for many, many miles.....it seemed like the end of the world was coming.....the car was totally covered with brown slush and pea gravel when we made our first gas stop....I couldn't even tell what color the car was....the slush had torn the temporary plates off the back of the Kat and I drove across six states with absolutely NO PLATES with no problems at all.....

....many long hours later we were back to full speed, traveling I 70, and got all the way to Dayton Ohio.....surprise surprise, a black ice storm.......we quickly went from 75mph to 5mph and were sliding all over the highway even at that speed.....several more long hours later we pulled into New Castle Indiana exhausted.....a long trip was extended by several hours of pure white knuckle driving.....I stopped at the local car wash before heading on home and sprayed the car off.....it looked beautiful and didn't get one scratch on it during the 700 miles of crappy weather.....I drove the "Silver Bullet" a little over 3K miles in the next few months(posted as "Silver Bullet" during this time) and a friend of mine in Indy wanted it really bad, so I sold it and bought a 2000 Black(I posted as Black 2000 or a few months also) at a local Indiana dealer.....the last I knew the old "Silver Bullet" was owned by a guy in New Jersey or Delaware, I forget which......

....several months later the same dealer called me to see if I wanted a 2000 Yelo Kat, same deal....I said yes and we were off on another trip to Woodbridge Virginia to pick up another Prowler, that trip was perfect....I then started posting as "Y2KYELO" ....
