I found out the hard way that changing the factory valve caps to something cool looking can cause you trouble with your sensors if the new caps you replace do not have rubber o-rings in the inside! This seals the valve stem from moisture so as not to allow false signals of low air pressure! Check those cool caps you just put on!!!! ------------------ This message has been edited by onaprwl on 12-19-2000 at 12:35 AM |

When I look at the caps on the Leopard Kat the o-rings turned to gunk and while I was there I checked to see if the valve cores where tight and 3 of them where loose. |

I have LOGO Caps on my car. They come with o rings and have the Prowler cat on them in the same color as the car. Coolest caps on a Cat ------------------ |

Tire valve stem caps: one note for Prowler owners when changing to metal caps and that is be sure that the caps are stainless steel or aluminum to resist any galvanic corrosion between the stem and cap. ------------------ |
