I got drafted in May of 1965 and I think I made $68 a month, gross. They actually took out taxes. I think I was making $214 or $244 a month when I got out in May of '67 as a Sp/4. They probably make more than that now. I couldn't afford gas, much less a car. |

Tony, My Kat is AWESOME!!!!!! My income is what's hurting. I make about $200,000 LESS than the average Prowler owner, according to Chrysler. CJ, Butchee, PhxSuncat, Ed Monahan, I type this with a smile to ALL those who may read it: ------------------ |

Just JP - OK, the challenge is met. My cat is titled in my grandson's name: 1999 Interest Income - $4.60 I'll remove the challenge. Let it stand where it was - you win! DC must have given his name out to the credit reporting agencies, because he is getting all the crap credit card apps in the mail weekly. I just chuckle and chuck em. ------------------ |

I think he's poor in the sense of being the skinniest Prowler owner I've seen. He is not quite as 'healthy' looking as most of the other owners. |

Hey, Jim and Patrick was that a veiled insult at us MATURE & ROBUST members. I would take offense if it wasn't true. Merry Christmas to you guys and glad to hear things are looking up. Hang in there. |

A) No, loses don't count. B) PhxSuncat, I have wondered about that youngest Kat owner thing ever since I saw it, just didn't ask. How do you title a car to someone WITHOUT teeth much less a license? C) Jim, I absolutely HATE the word "skinny". I prefer the term " athletically fit " ------------------ |

JP.. .......I was in the USAF from Mar 71 till Nov 74....I did have a new car (73 'Cuda), but only due to a tour of duty overseas where I sold everything I could get my hands on to the black market(electronics, whiskey etc.)...after 15 months I had made enough to buy a new 'Cuda when I returned to the states.... when I returned, I was stationed at Lackland AFB in San Antonio...I do remember seeing all the Grads fron the USAF Academy parading in their new Vettes every year...wonder if that is still a tradition....Chevy must have sold truck loads of Vettes there every year to the new grads...quite a show....when I enlisted I made $134.10 per month, whether I needed all of it or not Was clearing approx $500 per month 4 years later...........I was lucky enough to have a working wife during those times to help out, but we really did okay on what we made... ..................Y2K YELO X 4 ------------------ |
