Lynda,

Welcome to ProwlerOnline and congratulations on your newly acquired Prowler!

The wind baffle you are speaking of is made by a company called Real Rod. The name of the product is the Air Patrol. You can find a link to their web site on our homepage.

If you search through the archives on our site you will find a variety of reviews on how effective it really is at stopping the wind, but the cool look factor is an A+!

Lynda, congrads on your new Kat. I wish you had asked the question yesterday as I was in Laguna today with the Air Patrol on mine...would have been glad to have shown it to you. As the others have said, it looks great, how much it helps is debatable, does seem to keep you warmer when driving with the heater on!

Pretty much all agree. Air Patrol looks great but does it stop the wind? don't think it does much good, but I guess "LOOKIN GOOD" is what counts!

I'm not advocating another product but there is a wind baffle on the market called Gust Grabber and Wind Master made by the company called Wind Baffle, Lake Success, NY. Their number is 1-888-266-WIND.
Has anyone tried either of these yet? Looking at the Gust Grabber image, it's positioned right behind the headrests so it might have half a chance of actually working.

You're right Paul! The web site is http://www.windbaffle.com/ and the product that fits the Prowler is called the "Draft Dodger" $149.00!!!

Has anyone ever tried this product?

I have tried them both. They are not designed for the prowler and therefore do not fit well. They require that the seats be moved a couple of inches forward, therefore will not even mount for someone 6' plus. When mounted, the stabilizer bar rests on the storage compartment, making access impossible. They are mounted to the head rests with velcro straps...look a little cheap.

I would not recommend either, having tried both.

I also own the Air Patrol and it looks great and performs ok. Like I mentioned earlier, the two windbaffle products are less than adequate.
