There was an old post about the software revision for the PCM (power control module) & the TCM (transmission control module). How do you know if you need it or not? Going in for service this Saturday...new rubber around the windows & top. |

THe DBRIII diags tool will show the revision level of each computer, Engine, Body & transmission. I'm sure that the techs have the latest revisions available. I suspect that if and updates were "required" that a TSB would have been issued. I have not heard of any problems related to the software. There must be different revisions for the Body controller for different years as the later models have more "gadgets" to be included. My 1999 has BCM Ver 9.1 EEversion 9.1 - TCM ver 17 My 1997 has TCM ver 15 |

Y2k-Its's my understanding that the TCM update firms up the shifts. If you shift fast and solid already. chances are that you already have the reprogram. The tech can tell you if you've been reprogramed, but probably better to ask for the latest ones. |

Y2K - Amazing, you ask this fine group of Prowler owners a question, and you get answers! I've said it before, the POA cats will go that extra mile for each other............. ------------------ |
