I was poking around the scrapbook tonight and ran across John Ross' pictures. Have one word, WOW. Let me put my eyes back in, and please don't step on my tongue Of course I have lots of questions for John and any other person who has attempted a chameleon type paint job: 1. I know this paint job is probably the most expensive treatment you can get. Here is the question I always hate to answer when people pull up next to me. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? 2. Is it as durable as a factory paint job and are there any special maintenance procedures?? I'm sure the durability has something to do with who you have do the job but just a general question. 3. What color combos can be achieved?? 4. Can most paint shops handle the Prowlers non-metal panels? I guess probably. I have a black 2000 and have been more than frustrated with the swirls and small minor scratches it shows. I have seen pictures of vettes with dual and tri color treatments and am kicking around the idea of a black/red combo. I know black is a pain but this black/red combo is a huge improvement over the woody, IMOO. Anyone who has a custom paint job can chime in on this topic. I live in the Washington DC area and if anyone knows of a good place in my area please let me know. My Prowler is getting ready to go into hibernation for the upcoming winter and a new paint job might be a thing I can do over the winter. Of course I will be sleeping on the couch for a couple of weeks when I bring this up with the wife but hey she has two babies, I have one Just joking a little, hope she doesn't read this post. jeff |

I can't wait to see this car in person at the GC event. That alone would be worth the 2200 miles I'm driving. John- if you read this- WOW doesn't express my feelings for that paint muchless the time you give it to take care of it! |

Paul - To see this car alone, is worth the price of admission. But I thought we all (Texan talk) were meeting at the Grand Canyon to see who might bump Gary over the cliffs? |

I think Gary would see it coming cuz it's gonna take a lot more tahn just one of us to do that job, unless we get CJ to get behing his knees and we pull the push him over someone first. |

I spent a sunny 75 degree day in Ann Arbor with my oldest and 3 of his buddies..Michigan beat a "complete" Wisconsin team with a late game t.d. Maize and Blue are alive and well..waiting for the new polls. P.A. said the largest crowd to see a game today, approx 111,000 was in "the Big House. Not sure if he is talking about the exact paint as the chrome emulsion, but a friend with a vette shop said cost is about $200. a pint, goes along way, and is not too difficult to work with. He did say future repair matches up very well. I saw the photos, and to steal a phrase from my 13 year old.."awesome!" Go Blue! |

Mike G. - Go Blue! Glad to see Michigan beat Wisconsin! Barry Alvarez, Wisc. coach, and I went to college together (same major). He shouldn't have made it out of high school let alone college. We disliked each other for four years, and I'm always pulling for whoever plays Wisconsin. Go Blue! |

Midlife, I don't know of any local Prowler clubs in our area, but we could probably get one going. I've seen a couple of Prowlers in the area. The PPC has a area coordinator who lives in Richmond. Most of the events are down in the Richmond area which doesn't suit me. I'm looking into getting a local race track event and will post a message when I have more info. Larry, I see Nebraska beat up on Missouri today. Maybe VT will meet Big Red in the Orange Bowl if they don't drop one to Oklahoma, KS, or Colorado. All that want to follow the HOKIES can go to http://www.espn.com GO HOKIES!!!!!!!!!!! -jeff |

Jeff - To be honest with you, Nebraska is over rated this year, no defense against the pass. Maybe they are 8 to 10. I think VT or Fla. school will end up #1. But for 30 years, Nebraska has had its share of GREAT teams. They have been the model program that the other schools look up to. I'm proud to say I attended school there. Super great fans, nation-wide. ------------------ |

Larry, To be honest I think the HOKIES are a little over rated this year also, but if I can go to the Orange Bowl I don't care. Our defense is much weaker than last year. I can only hope our QB can out pace the opponents offense. One thing the HOKIES have going for them is they will always sell all their tickets plus some. Something the bowl folks look at these days. Doesn't hurt we have the best QB in the land If we play Big Red in a bowl maybe we can take our Prowlers to the bowl and meet up. Would be nice to share a bowl and have a little Prowler get together to boot. GO HOKIES!!!! -jeff |

Jeff - See where Nebraska dropped in polls. I'm right, they are very weak against the pass. Maybe Big Red shouldn't meet VT in Orange - might embarass them badly. Nebraska = three unimpressive wins! #8, no higher. Wish I didn't have to admit that. ------------------ |

Larry, We all still have a lot of games to play. Tech still has some tough games ahead. I'm still new to the national exposure, so I'm always hoping for the best. BTY, how would embarrass who??? I've seen the HOKIES loss to Temple -jeff |

Jeff, the Hokies ought to schedule the Bengals, would be an easy win. I can't find anybody who will bet on them, I want to bet against them but now nobody wants to take them. The Reds played 162 games and never got shut out. The Bengals got shut out in 2 of their first 3 games. I have an extra Hokie prowler. Email me if you want to buy it cheap. |
