Now that I have the car I have wanted forever (1999 Black), don't need to buy anything else. Will never sell it. Told my family they could bury me in it, but my two adult sons said "No way" - they'll be fighting over who gets it next! Of course there is always my husband to contend with! |

quote: I love the look of the Esprit and at roughly half the price of a 360 Modena, I thought it would be a steal. You may want to research the Lotus some more. They don't hold up to well. It's definitely not an everyday car (too tempermental). I can sum it up best by the answer I got from our salesman at the local Mercedes/Lotus/Aston-Martin dealer when I told him I was considering either the Esprit or a Porsche Carrera 4, he told me to get the Porsche as I would be happier, it would last longer, and be worth more at the point I would sell it. He lost any commission on a new Lotus as we took his advice and got the Porsche but, he's made it up with several Mercedes sales. |

Would like to get the new Z06 corvette just a hair slower than the viper at 20,000.00 less. And is a much more comfortable car to drive than the viper. |

Great topic. I have had all the toys. I'll always keep a Prowler as the others come and go. Saturday picked up a 2001 yellow corvette coupe...This is my sixth C5. I love vettes.... also have two new slk 320's. I won't buy Ferraris any more because if you put any kind of milleage on them...they lose lots of value. ------------------ |

quote: Uh, not locally here in Texas. 355's with 15K+ miles command as much (if not more) then they would have new. Now, if by mileage you mean putting on 30K+ a year, perhaps your right, but no car will hold value with that kinda mileage. |
