Anyone heard of or using a sensor type device for parking your cat. Spoiler does not go over most of the blocks and very difficult to guesstimate the distance. |

Hey Mr. Gadget (Jeff Paulsen), I know you have exactly what these guys are looking for! It's mounted on the front nose and a digital readout in the ****pit shows the distance to the obstruction. I'll find out more and report. ------------------

This seems like a must have idea to me! I would also like one of these. Who makes them and how much do they cost? |

I'm sure someone make something that would work. The Ford Windstar Vans have them in the rear bumpers. Cadillac has them in rear also. So why not in the front. I use to work for electronics company and they were working on sensor 5~6 years ago. I drove a vehicle they had installed system in. Not so much for parking but warning of any obstuction in the front. I believe it was programable. Check with high end auto electronics supplier. WildCat |

The gentleman we need to talk to is Jeff Paulsen from Columbus Ohio. He has exactly what you are looking for on his purple '99. I tried calling him but no answer. He must be prowlin. His email is jpaul9999@aol.com . If I learn anything else I'll let everyone know. ------------------

The PT Cruiser Club is having it's first big cruise and meet in Las Vegas next weekend. One of their vendors will be demonstrating a device, that is programable for distance as I understand it, that you can put on your car such as under the rear bumper and it will alert you when you are within so many feet of an object. Could this be it? Maybe I'll have to put my own name on my Christmas list. The vendor is: Sense Technologies. |

How about getting one of those digital tape measures and mouning the sensor part under the nose of the car? ------------------ |

my son suggested using a curb feeler in the front of the car. He is a wise a**, takes after his mother's side of the family. |
